Liu Yi: the heritage of the nation

Watercolors of this Chinese artist can safely be called the art of art. After all, his favorite theme is the images of people who have direct relation to him - for example, ballerinas or classical musicians. Very peculiar way of their filing in the paintings: people seem to come out of the thin mist, emotional and very characteristic. It is hardly possible to thank for this effect watercolor. Undoubtedly: the matter, first of all, in the artist's talent, and long discussions on this matter will be out of place. His work has long been recognized worldwide.

Liu Yi was born in Shanghai in the distant 1958. He graduated from the Faculty of Art of the East China Normal University, and later worked as a teacher at the Shanghai College of Art and Design. Repeatedly the artist was invited to the University of Constance for lecturing and organizing personal exhibitions. His painting "Water Running with Sky" received the highest award of the Seventh National Exhibition of Fine Arts, the canvas "Reflection" (that is, "Reflection") received the highest award of China at the exhibition of watercolor painting. Whispering "(that is," Whispering ") was nominated for a silver award at the Sixth National Exhibition of Paintings Written in Watercolor and Gouache, and a few dozen titles and prizes, the listing of which would be inappropriate here.

Suffice it to say separately that several paintings of Liu Yi were sold at Sotheby's auction, for a price that no one will ever disclose. And a few more will not be exhibited at auctions of any level, because they are stored in the National Museum of China. After all, paintings can also become the property of the nation.
